Ann Woods

Dorothy Ann Woods, 81, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

Ann was born in Lockwood, Missouri on April 14, 1943, to Warren Donavon and Gladys (Keck) Johnson. On February 20, 1965, Ann and Marvin Woods were united in marriage and shared over 56 years together, before Marvin passed away in 2021.

Ann lovingly raised her family, enjoyed singing in the church choir, working in her vegetable garden, and was an avid reader. When her kids were young, she was an officer on the PTA and active in the Willard school district. Most of all, she loved teaching Sunday School and spending time with her children and grandchildren. When they weren’t around, she enjoyed talking about them. Ann will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Ann is survived by her sons: Dale Woods and wife, Tanya; Darin Woods and wife, Amanda; Dareck Woods and wife, Jaydra; six grandchildren: Cody Woods and wife, Jordyn; Brodi Fly and Levi; Brendan Woods; Blake Woods and wife, Megan; Isaiah Woods and wife, Samantha; Asher Woods; three great grandchildren; three brothers: Warren Johnson, Joe Johnson, Brad Johnson and wife, Toni; nieces, nephews, other family and friends. 

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Woods; daughter, Nancy Woods; and parents, Warren and Gladys Johnson.

Visitation was from 2 p.m. until service time on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services began at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Johns Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Ann’s name to Maranatha Village and may be left at the funeral home.
