Becky Sue Tetens

Becky Sue Tetens, age 61, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 6:48 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2022, at her home, with her family. She was born October 17, 1961, in Champaign, Illinois, the daughter of the late Frank Owen and Esther Joan (Larkin) Brewer.

Becky was a 1979 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and was a bookkeeper for Dion’s Heating and Air Services in Mt. Vernon. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities. They loved her as much as she loved them. Taking them on yearly adventures to the corn maze and to see Christmas lights, fun trips to the park, making special meals for them and of course shopping and nails. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Becky’s faith was very important to her. She recently purchased bibles for all of her grandchildren. She wanted them to know Jesus.

On February 19, 1983, she married William (Bill) Scott Tetens, in Rankin, Illinois.

Becky is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 39 years, Bill; one daughter, Christina Dion and her husband, Michael, of Mt. Vernon; one son, Cody Tetens, and Krystal Brant, of Ash Grove, Missouri; six grandchildren, Candance, Payton, Jade, Dakota, Kylee, and Caleb and one sister, Betty Lehman and her husband, John, of Stockton, Missouri.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery.
