Wanda Jones
October 28, 2026
Wanda M. Jones, 76, of Lockwood, Missouri, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Throughout her life, Wanda’s greatest joy and deepest identity were found in her faith in Jesus Christ. She lived with the assurance of God’s promises and the hope of eternal life, trusting faithfully in His guidance through every season.
A lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Wanda’s faith in Jesus Christ shaped every aspect of her life. She was a devoted student of God’s Word and found joy in sharing her faith with others. Throughout the years, she served her church faithfully as church secretary, Sunday School teacher, leader of women’s Bible studies, and youth group leader. Whether through teaching, encouraging fellow believers, creating seasonal decorations and wall hangings for the church, or simply offering a listening ear and a helping hand, Wanda reflected Christ’s love to those around her. Her greatest desire was that others would know and experience the grace and faithfulness of God that had sustained her throughout her life.
Blessed with a servant’s heart, Wanda cared deeply for her family, friends, church family, neighbors, and all whom the Lord placed in her path. Her life was marked by compassion, generosity, humility, and steadfast love. She believed that every blessing came from God and sought to honor Him through the way she lived and cared for others.
Wanda earned a business degree from the University of Central Missouri and later retired from Lockwood Farmers Exchange. She was also a lifelong farmer who treasured the land, the values of rural life, and the agricultural community that helped shape her. She devoted many years to encouraging and mentoring young people through her service as a 4-H leader and was an active member of Women in Ag. Through these organizations, she built lasting friendships and continued her lifelong commitment to serving others.
Family was one of God’s greatest gifts to Wanda. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and found joy in gathering with loved ones, traveling, reading, embroidery, and sharing fellowship with friends and fellow believers. Her love for family was evident in the time, care, and encouragement she freely gave to those she loved.
Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, H. Allen Jones; her parents, Emma Cassity and Edward Kreissler; and her brother, Wayne Kreissler.
She is survived by her son, Bradley Jones and wife Charity; her daughter, Kimberly Stueve and husband, Adam; and her beloved grandchildren: Gideon, Aiden and Addison Stueve, and Maverick Jones.
She is also survived by her siblings: Paula Kreissler; Toni Kreissler; Tim Kreissler and wife, Lorraine; Jonathan Kreissler and wife, Mila; Jackie Carrier and husband, Chuck; sister-in-law Dixie Kreissler; and many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
While Wanda’s family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the promise of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that she now rests in the presence of her Savior. Her life was a testimony to God’s faithfulness, and her legacy lives on in the faith she shared, the family she loved, and the countless lives she touched with Christ’s love.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
