Caroline Salts

Caroline Sue Salts, 85, of Willard, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in Willard, Missouri. Carol was born on July 17, 1941, in Springfield, Missouri, to Henry and Anna (Stratton) Schultz. 

On September 30, 1963, Carol and Gene Salts were united in marriage and shared 54 years together, before Gene’s passing in 2017. 

Carol spent her life caring for others. She worked as a caregiver and visiting nurse, continuing to care for others throughout her life. She also cared for her parents and brothers as they grew older. Carol was generous with her time, her help, and what she had, always willing to do for others.

Carol is survived by her stepchildren: Dwight Salts, Diana (Salts) Wilkeson; step-granddaughter, Michelle Daugherty; a host of nieces and nephews; other family and friends. 

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Schultz; husband, Gene Salts; brothers, Joe, Carl, George, Billy, and Bobby.

Graveside services were held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Clear Creek Cemetery, Willard, Missouri.

Services were under the care and direction  of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Missouri.
