Larry Leigh

Larry Wayne Leigh, 79 of Bois D’ Arc, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, April 12, 2026. He was born on October 11, 1946, in Springfield, Missouri, to William E. and Alene M. (Williams) Leigh. 

On November 26, 1969, Larry and Theda Diane Steger were united in marriage and shared over 50 years together, before Diane’s passing in 2020.

Larry was a lifelong area resident graduating from Ash Grove High School in 1964. He worked at Lily Tulip and retired after 43 years. After retirement, he enjoyed bird watching, especially watching for his orioles and hummingbirds. 

Larry enjoyed traveling and it was even better when he could bring his family along. Family was everything to him and his grandchildren were his favorite.  He will be missed by all those that knew and loved him. 

Larry is survived by his children: Wesley Leigh and wife, Piper; Travis Leigh and wife, Shelly; Tyson Leigh and Christina Grant; Justin Leigh and wife, Vicki; Brandon Leigh and wife, Rachel; Brianna Arnold and husband, Adam; grandchildren: Cailyn Leigh, Olivia Leigh, Cade Holkum, Kynleigh Holkum, Jackson Leigh, Ashlynn Leigh, Cody Leigh, Adryana Lawrence, Caroline Nuss, Blake Leigh, Joshua Leigh, Lakyn Saddler, Maelynn Calton, Mahala Calton, Wyatt Calton,  Heston Arnold, Addison Arnold, and Gaige Lascelle; sister, Sandy Leigh; sister-in-law, Juanita Lemons and husband, Tom; other family and many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane Leigh; and daughter, Shannon Holkum.

Visitation was held from 6 - 8 p.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Missouri. 

Memorial graveside services were held at 2p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Yeakley Cemetery, Bois D’Arc.
