Carl Robison

Carl Weslie Robison, of Arcola, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, March 20, 2026, in his home at the age of 85.
 He was born on January 19, 1941 in Arcola, Missouri, to George and Vesteleen (Lantrip) Robison.  Carl served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  
He was united in marriage to Janet Sue Burton on July 2, 1983 in Greenfield, Missouri. Carl worked throughout his life as a mechanic and in the maintenance department at Pennington Seed. He was a member of the Arcola Baptist Church.
Carl was a founding member of the Arcola Fire Department and the Arcola Lions Club.  In his younger years, he liked riding horses and working cattle. Carl enjoyed spending time at the lake, and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Vesteleen Robison; three sisters: Roselyn Mitchell, Anna Mae Glover and Hazel Long; an infant sister, Evelyn Robison; and an infant brother, David Robison.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Robison of the home; five children: David Robison and wife, Holly of Greenfield, Missouri; Diana Robison of Greenfield, Missouri; Susan Crouch and husband, Frank of South Greenfield, Missouri; Melinda Stone and fiancé, Kalyn Jackson of Republic, Missouri; and Abby Leach and husband, James, of Willard, Missouri; two sisters, Janice Brite and Martha Alsup; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services is being held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Arcola Hickory Grove Cemetery.  
The family received friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arcola Fire Department or to the Arcola Hickory Grove Cemetery.
