Charles Yocum

Charles J. Yocom, 90, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026. He was born April 28, 1935, in Morrisville, Missouri to Jodie and Electa (Creed) Yocom. 

Charles was born and raised in the Walnut Grove area. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1953 and began his many careers. Charles worked for the forest service in Idaho, worked for the Frisco Railroad, and owned and operated MFA/Phillips 66 in Walnut Grove for many years. He also did body and fender work along with logging for over 30 years. Charles loved his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed. 

Charles is survived by children: Susan Adams and husband, Arnie; David Yocom and wife, Tina; Howard Yocom and wife, Kim; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; siblings: Marie Johnson, Don Yocom and wife, Shirley; nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Jodie and Electa Yocom; and son, Stephen Charles Yocom. 

Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Walnut Grove. Memorial services began at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
