Douglas Helmar

Douglas Wayne Helmar, Jr., of Lockwood, Missouri departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, in his home at the age of 68.

Doug was born on March 25, 1957 in Stockton, California, to Douglas Wayne and Denzel Faye (Wallen) Helmar. He graduated from Linden High School in Linden, California.  Doug was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Douglas, Sr., and Faye Helmar; one brother, Darrell Helmar; and one sister, Janis Stirm.

Survivors include two sons, Phil Anderson of Texas and Jeremy Anderson of Texas; two daughters, Lisa Anderson of Texas and Christie Anderson of Texas; two sisters, Sharon Brooks of Lockwood, Missouri and Diane Kenedy of Lockwood, Missouri; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will conduct a memorial graveside service for family and friends at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Lockwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
