Roy Edwin Shouse

Roy Edwin Shouse, of Lockwood, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, January 5, 2017, in his home at the age of 79 years.
He was born on January 24, 1937, in Greenfield, Missouri, to John and Fay (Beach) Shouse.
Roy graduated from Greenfield High School in 1955. He was united in marriage to Helen L. Wilson on May 19, 1956.
Roy was a lifetime farmer. He also worked as a truck driver and an automobile mechanic. Roy was a member of the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. He was an avid reader. Roy loved his family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Fay Shouse and one brother, David Shouse.

Survivors include his wife Helen Shouse of the home; two sons: Edward Shouse and his wife, Erin, of Eureka, Missouri and Ronald Shouse of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Lorna Shouse of Nixa, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kaleigh, Zachary, and Zane; four brothers: Robert Shouse and his wife, Beth, of Independence, Missouri; Carl Shouse and his wife, Joan, of Lockwood, Missouri; Rick Shouse of Springfield, Missouri; and Joe Shouse of Halltown, Missouri; three sisters: Nancy Davis and her husband, Denny, of Stockton, Missouri; Karen Dover and her husband, William, of Dadeville, Missouri; and Janice Sneed and her husband, Charles, of Dadeville, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017, in Mt. Nebo Baptist Church. Burial followed in Collins Cemetery.
