Breaking News - Prospective Walnut Grove Developer Withdraws Rezoning Application and We Have The Answers Why
A rezoning request filed by Fox Hollow WG, L.L.C., requesting to have a parcel of land on Adams Street in Walnut Grove rezoned from R-1 (single family) to R-4 (apartments) has been with-drawn per a Facebook post made by the City of Walnut Grove on Thursday, April 24 and we have the answer as to why.
I was able to speak with Developer Doug Feller on Sunday afternoon. During our conversation Fellers openly and without hesitation answered all my questions. The following is why hes pulled the request.
“It’s the way we’ve been treated with the whole thing, said Doug. “Financially, I don’t need it. I was doing it to help the community. If the community has that much outrage over someone who has family in the area for over 100 years, who is trying to help the community, then I don't need to do it. I was doing it for my wife, as this is where she wanted to be,” said Doug. “With the way we’ve been treated, my wife has no interest in being there now. If the community doesn't want that, that's fine.”
