Jane Travis

April 15, 2025

Jane Lavay (Holland) Travis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in Everton, Missouri, just days before her 87th birthday.  She was born on April 14, 1938, in Monette, Arkansas, to Willie and Annie Holland and was raised in Bay, Arkansas alongside her sisters Alma and Emma Lea.
On September 28, 1956, Jane married her childhood sweetheart, Roy Thurman Travis.  Together they built a life rooted in love, family and God. Jane was a devoted homemaker and the proud mother of:  Rodger Allen, Rodney Dale (Sue), Tony Neale, Tami Marlene and son-in-law Drexel Atkisson.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Krystall Mitchell (Steve), Mengmeng Wu, Huixin Yao, Meghan Estes (Brad), Whitney Williams (Daniel), Sarah Burks (Brandon), Amelia Atkisson (Andrew) and Wyatt Atkisson (Andi). Jane found joy in the simple pleasure of life.  She loved to garden, sew and bake - activities that brought warmth to her home and those around her. Her deep faith guided her throughout her life; she loved the Lord with all her heart.
Jane was preceded in death by her husband Roy Travis; sons Rodger Travis and Tony Travis; her parents Willie and Annie Holland; and sisters Alma Davis and Emma Lea Baskin.
The family would like to offer a word of gratitude to the nurses from Phoenix Hospice, Diana Cooper and Lynette Mitchell Green, for their care in Jane’s final days.
