February 25, 2025

Faye Maxine White of Walnut Grove, Missouri departed this life at the age of 102 and went to her eternal home in Heaven on February 21, 2025, at the Ash Grove Nursing Facility.
Maxine was born May 24, 1922 in her family home near Dadeville, Missouri, to Emil and Eva (Drummomd) Wheeler. She attended Dadeville Schools where she enjoyed playing the violin in the school orchestra.
Love overcame her desire to continue her education and she married James White on June 11, 1938. Together they shared 48 years, until his passing.
They lived in many different places, but settled in Walnut Grove where Maxine worked as a seamstress, a cook at the local school, restaurant owner and finally a caretaker for James during his long illness. Later she took on caretaking for several friends in the community that needed assistance with their daily living needs.
Later in life Maxine enjoyed riding horses, gardening, raising beautiful flowers, mowing her yard, driving her friends to appointments and enjoying special friends at the Willard Senior Center for luncheons and playing bingo. She was saved at a young age and was a faithful church attender. She was still driving herself to church until shortly before she turned 101 years of age.
Preceding her in death was her parents, Emil and Eva Wheeler; husband, James White; sons, Buddy White, Donnie White; brother, Eugene Wheeler; and all of her longtime friends.
Survivors are daughter, Georgia Lea Tuck; son, Bob White, daughter-in-law, Nancy White; granddaughter, Carolyn Moffitt; grandson, Ryan White; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Gilmore, Ethan Moffitt, Evan Moffitt and Aiden Swiers; sx great-great grandchildren, Paelyn Gilmore, Haevyn Gilmore, Worthington Moffitt, Jace Moffitt, Stella Swiers and Finnegan Swiers.

Services will be held at Wilson Griffin Chapel at Walnut Grove. Visitation from 1 until the service begins at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025.
In lieu of flowers contributions to The Wheeler Cemetery may be made at the funeral home.
