Susie Vance Kramer, 87, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Fairwinds-Sand Creek Retirement Community. She was under the care of her loving family and Alliance Home Health and Hospice.
Susie was born September 13, 1937, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, to Robert E. Vance and Edna Grant Vance. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. She also attended the University of Utah and O’Moore School of Design where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English. She was the first person amongst her siblings to complete her college degree. She was a member of P.E.O. International and Pi Beta Phi Sorority.
Susie married George L. Kramer, Jr. in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1983. Susie and George made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Susie worked as an independent interior designer. She enjoyed working in the local P.E.O. International chapter raising funds for educational assistance for women.
She enjoyed interior design, playing bridge, travel, golf, animals, music, the arts, and other people. She self published a book, “Desmond Goes to  Heaven.”
Susie is survived by her husband, George L. Kramer, Jr. of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter, Cynthia (Mark Pichel) Snow of Palo Alto, California; son, Tim J. Kramer of Destin, Florida; brother, Robert Carl Vance of Ogden, Utah; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Vance; son, Rod Snow, Jr.; sister, Elizabeth Vance Cryder; sister, Juanita Vance Loya; sister, Martha Vance Meager; sister, Lou Vance Drenk; brother, Joseph W. Vance; and sister, Delores Vance Brett.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Fairwinds-Sand Creek in Idaho Falls, Idaho. If you would like to attend, and we hope you do, please RSVP to CynthiaSnow@comcast.net.
