Lorna Shouse

Lorna Denise Shouse, of Nixa, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation Facility in Lockwood, Missouri, at the age of 64.

She was born on September 22, 1960 in Lockwood, Missouri, to Roy E. and Helen L. (Wilson) Shouse.  Lorna graduated from Lockwood High School in 1978.  

She had owned and operated an Electric Company.Recently she was employed with the John Deere Remanufacturing Company. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding horses.  Lorna was an avid reader.

Preceding her in death was her father, Roy Shouse.

Survivors include her mother, Helen Shouse; two brothers, Edward Shouse and wife ,Erin, and Ronald Shouse; two nephews, Zane Shouse and Zachary Blackwood; one niece, Kayleigh Blackwood; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.  The family received friends on Friday from 12 noon until service time at the church.  Private family burial was held at Collins Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation or to the Lions Club Gift of Sight.
