Rebecca Melton

Rebecca Ann (Dodson) Melton, of Ash Grove, Missouri, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of January 18, 2025 at the age of 78.

She was born on December 22, 1946 in Dade County, Missouri, to William Elwayne “Billy Wayne” and Willa Mae Dodson.  Rebecca graduated from Dadeville High School.  She was a credit manager at EA Martin.  Rebecca was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She loved her dogs and going shopping.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William Elwayne and Willa Mae Dodson.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Melton; two brothers, Wayne Dodson and wife Brenda of Everton, Missouri, and Richard Dodson and wife Eileen of Republic, Missouri; two children, Regina Fender and husband, Craig, of Springfield, Missouri, and Scott Chism and wife, Rhonda, of Dadeville, Missouri; three nieces; one nephew; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will host a Celebration of Life Service at a later date at the Dadeville Café in Dadeville.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dadeville Masonic Cemetery.
