Nancy J. (Wynes) Ingram, born on October 10, 1931, in Stockton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Ash Grove, Missouri, at the age of 93.
Nancy was the daughter of Raymond and Neva Wynes. She led a life filled with adventure and service.
She first married Lano Pursley, with whom she had five children: Michael, Lanna, Ruth, Neva, and David Pursley.
As a military family with the United States Air Force, they lived in many places across the United States and abroad, including Louisiana, Ohio, Arkansas, Japan, Pennsylvania, the Philippines, and Illinois.
After her divorce from Lano, Nancy married John Kirkland. They shared 25 years together before his passing. Later in life, she married Roger Ingram, who also preceded her in death. Following Roger’s passing, Nancy moved to Ash Grove 25 years ago and made it her home.
Nancy was a woman of many talents and interests. She was an avid reader and dedicated volunteer with the Red Cross in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. She also served as a Sunday School teacher and a Boy Scout Den Mother. Professionally, she retired from J.C. Penney after a fulfilling career.
She is survived by her daughters: Lanna Bernard (Chuck), Ruth Reuter, and Neva Comer (Steve); grandchildren Michael Hawkins, Kristen Ray (Doug), Amanda Nicolai (Andrew), Lyndsey Smith (Caleb), Alisha Mowry (Landon), Erin Mitchell, and Casey Reuter; as well as her bonus children Barb Kroenert (Kevin), John Kirkland (Connie), David Kirkland, and Penni Wood. Nancy is also survived by her great-grandchildren Kylynn, Jake, Harison, Lyndon, Greydon, Nora, Mia, Veni, Willa, Lano and Margot; great-great grandson Thomas; sister Janice Reed and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her sons Michael Pursley and David Pursley; stepson Mike Kirkland; her brother Bill Wynes; and her beloved husbands John Kirkland and Roger Ingram.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. until service time, Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Stockton Cemetery.
