Kerry ‘Carebear’ Murray

Kerry “Carebear” Ivan Murray, 66, of Harrisonville, Missouri, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by friends and family. A Celebration of Life in honor of Kerry was held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri, on Thursday, November 21, 2024. 

Kerry was born on February 28, 1958, in Lockwood, Missouri, a son of Verne “Shorty” and Lena (Cooper) Murray. 

Kerry lived in many different cities in many different states. However, he would always call Greenfield, Missouri, home where he graduated high school in 1976. 

He met the love of his life, Rachael Nichols, in 1991, and they married on December 4, 1993 in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The love that these two share is inspiring to all who know them.
