William A. Dedmon

William A. “Bill” Dedmon, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in his home at the age of 77.
He was born on July 17, 1947 in Sanger, California, to Gaylen and Shirley (Fleming) Dedmon.  
Bill was united in marriage to Virginia A. Nash on May 10, 1969 in McArthur, California.  He owned and operated Bill’s Chevron in Adin, California, for many years.  
Bill enjoyed flying in his Piper Cherokee plane. He made several trips to Oregon and Washington.  Bill also owned and operated the Trading Post in Greenfield for several years.  He last worked at Grizzly Industrial in Springfield, which he loved doing.
Bill was avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved working on cars and anything/everything mechanical. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greenfield, serving as deacon, treasurer, and Bible study leader.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Gaylen and Shirley Dedmon; and two brothers, Joel Dedmon and Jim Dedmon.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Dedmon; one son, Douglas Dedmon and his wife, Wendy; two grandchildren, Eden Dedmon and Andrew Dedmon; two sisters: Debbie Epps and her husband, Rod; and Cindy Simpson; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; and many friends.
A family-directed memorial service will be held at a later date at the First Baptist Church of Greenfield.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Greenfield.
