Eloise Haubein

Eloise G. Haubein, 93, of Lockwood (Meinert), Missouri, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Eloise was born July 12, 1931 to John and Laura Gassner in Purdy, Missouri and was baptized at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Purdy. She was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Missouri where her father was the pastor for 16 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clovis Haubein; and her five siblings: Katherine, Edith, Florence, Doris and John.
Survivors include two children, David (Tanya) Haubein and Kenneth (Susan) Haubein; three grandchildren: Ann (Brady) Owen, Jonathan (Emily) Pintado and Kimberly Pintado; and six great-grandchildren.
Eloise grew up in Lockwood, Missouri, and upon graduation from Lockwood High School in May 1948 she attended Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield for two years majoring in music.
Eloise married Clovis Haubein on August 12, 1950. She immediately became active in the family farming and farm equipment business and was integral in the success of those businesses over the next 46 years.
Sons David and Kenneth joined the family business after graduating from the University of Missouri in 1974 and 1977 respectively. As the business grew over the years the family also founded Jasper Popcorn Company in 1983 which evolved over the years into Jasper Foods and subsequently Jasper Products.
Eloise was actively involved in many civic and business organizations including Immanuel Lutheran Church Choir; Lutheran Women’s Missionary League; Lutheran Walther League; North American Equipment Dealers Association; and the Western Farm Equipment Dealers Association.
Eloise was devoted to her family and friends and cherished those relationships. She was a founding member of the local “Mothers Club” and she attended their monthly gatherings for about 60 years.
Eloise lived at the Good Shepard Residential Care Facility for the last two years of her life where several of her life-long friends also resided. She will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
The family will receive friends for visitation at 9 a.m. Saturday morning October 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Missori.
The funeral will be immediately after visitation at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Meinert, Missouri.
Services are under the care of Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Lutheran School in Lockwood, Missouri.
