Dorothy Cleo Vaughn

Dorothy Cleo Vaughn, of Greenfield, MO, departed this life on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO at the age of 89.

She was born on February 9, 1934 in Greenfield, MO to Clinton and Dorothy (Feezell) McConnell. Cleo was united in marriage to Rollo Lanson Vaughn on September 15, 1951 in Greenfield, MO. She was a wonderful homemaker and had worked as seamstress at Dunbrook Sportswear. Cleo enjoyed watching westerns. She adored her family and loved spending time with them.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Clinton and Dorothy McConnell; her husband, Rollo Vaughn; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Vaughn; one brother, Cletis McConnell; and two sisters, Christine Dickerson and Cathy McWilliams.

Survivors include two sons, Jeff Vaughn of Greenfield, MO and Rick Vaughn and wife Laura of South Greenfield, MO; two sisters, Carolyn Sue McConnell and Lou Miller; four grandchildren, Michael Vaughn and wife Aimee, Matthew Vaughn and wife Lauren, Eric Vaughn and wife Denise, and Marissa Castlebury and husband Rocky; eight great-grandchildren, Isaac Vaughn, Xander Vaughn, Spencer Vaughn, Taylor Vaughn, Daily Vaughn, Raygan Vaughn, Addilyn Castlebury, and Maisie Castlebury; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Corry Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
