Representative Ann Kelley Presents Resolution
On August 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lockwood, Missouri, Leland and Linda Eggerman were presented a Missouri State House Representative Resolution signed by Ann Kelley, District No. 127 and Dean Plocher, Speaker of the House. The Chief Clerk of the Missouri House had prepared and properly inscribed a copy of the resolution. The presentation occurred at 5:45 pm as the kick off of a sit down meal celebration attended by approximately 150 people.
Linda and Leland were united in marriage at Immanuel Church on August 12, 1973. They have lived in the Lockwood community for the past fifty years. Their wedding book, pictures and the dress she designed in a College dress design class were on display along with family pictures of their four children and nine grandchildren's current pictures. Unique to the celebration was the fact that Linda's mom, Lucille Wolf, and Leland's mom, Olga Eggerman, were in attendance along with the fact that the celebration was held in the very church they became husband and wife. Anna Hawks, of Ash Grove, MO, granddaughter had researched statistics of how many couples make it to the 50 year mark and discovered it is less than 7% in the United States that are fortunate to reach this anniversary mark.
It was a celebration to remember hosted by Lesha Muncy, Linse Hawks, Lee Eggerman and Landon Eggerman along with their families. Appreciation to family members who helped serve food, Anita Allison and Honey Pot for the cakes, Hollie Oltgen Stefan for support with supplies and Madelyn Muncy for helping with the food orders and especially to Representative Ann Kelley for being in attendance to kick off the fun evening.
