John Harden Long

John Harden Long, of Everton, MO, departed this life on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in his home at the age of 82.

He was born on April 21, 1941, in Aldrich, MO to Lester and Dona (Humbert) Long. John was united in marriage to Judith Lee “Judy” Butts on November 12, 1960, in Springfield, MO. He worked as a machinist for the Paul Mueller Company. John was a member of the Bona Church of Christ. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed coon hunting and turkey hunting.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lester and Dona Long; and one brother, Tom Long.

Survivors include his wife, Judith “Judy” Long; one son, John Barry Long and wife Debbie; two brothers, Bud Long and Joe Long; one grandson, Joshua Long and wife Tiffany; one great-granddaughter, Casen Long; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Bona Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Bona Cemetery.
