CITY OF LOCKWOOD HAS MAYOR VACANCY

At the Lockwood city council meeting on Wednesday April 26, 2023 the council reorganized after the April 4, 2023 local election. Council voted to appoint new council woman Linda Schilling, as mayor pro tem. Present Mayor Kenny Snider was beaten in the election and resigned.

Kenneth Osteen was nominated to be Mayor, but failed to win by three votes. The Mayors position is now vacant. The next city council meeting will be held Thursday May 11, 2023. Another vote could take place then to appoint a new Mayor to serve for a year.
