Billy Lee Stout
Billy Lee Stout, age 88, of Verona, Missouri, passed away at 1:28 a.m. on Sunday, November
13, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was born December 15, 1933, in
Logan, Missouri, the son of Alfa Henry and Gladys Fay (Irvine) Stout.
Billy was a 1952 graduate of Marionville High School in Marionville, Missouri, and a graduate
of the University of Missouri in Columbia. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving
during the Korean War. Billy was a home builder before becoming the administrator for Lacoba
Nursing Home in Monett, Missouri retiring after 20 years. He worked for Tyson’s in Monett and
was a part time mail carrier in Verona and was a member of the Verona Baptist Church.
On August 1, 1964, he married Karan Marie Jairett in Springfield, Missouri.
Billy is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Karan; three sons, Jason Stout and Jeff Stout and his
wife, Jennifer, all of Verona and John Stout of Aurora, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ethan,
Matthew, and Alison Stout, all of Verona and one sister-in-law, Betty Stout of Roseburg,
Oregon.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Harley, Marvin and his wife,
Renee, Charlie and Darrell and his wife Madeleine Stout.
A visitation under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora, will be held
from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Verona Baptist Church with a
funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at the Spring River
Cemetery in Verona. Memorial donations may be made payable to the Verona Baptist Church in care of the funeral
