Joe Don Morrison

Joe Don Morrison, born in Dade County, Missouri on July 1, 1935, to Don and Mary Pearl (Crutcher) Morrison, passed away on September 25, 2022.

After graduating from Greenfield High School, Joe played football at Fort Scott Community College for one year. Drafted by the United States Army, he served in Germany as a cannoneer and driver on an atomic cannon. He worked on the Kansas City railway for eighteen years and with the ironworkers’ union for twenty years before retiring to his farm in Arcola, Missouri. He was an avid sports fan; among his favorite teams were the Greenfield Wildcats, Missouri State Bears, and St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Margaret Wilson.

He is survived by his brother, Jay Bob Morrison (Joyce), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
