Hallie Mae Beard

Hallie Mae Beard, of Lockwood, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 10, 2022. She was just 16 years old.

Hallie was well known in the community for her bright personality and participation in numerous activities. She was a varsity cheerleader for Lockwood High School, holding co-captain responsibilities last year as a sophomore. She was also on the volleyball team and on the track team, spent the past two years doing competitive cheerleading at Quantum Athletics in Lockwood, and was very involved with her FCCLA chapter. This spring, she and two friends received a gold rating at the state competition for their Focus on Children presentation. She also won the FCCLA Member of the Year award.

Hallie’s bubbly personality made her so many friends. She was popular among many and was elected basketball homecoming queen this year as a sophomore by her peers.

Hallie will be missed by her boyfriend, several close friends, and countless others.

Hallie loved her family, especially her mom. She was very proud of the close bond they shared. She was also a loving big sister. She spent a lot of time with her siblings, often helping to care for them. Her last time spent with her little sister and youngest brother, she made them dinner and sat, talked and ate with them. Hallie had an extremely close-knit home life. Her family will forever be incomplete without her.

Hallie is survived by her mom and bonus dad, Kaitlyn and David Marchand; her father, Nicholas Beard; and her siblings – a brother, Elijah Beard, a sister, Blake Marchand, a brother, Barrett Marchand, and her bonus brothers, Kane and Kamon Cooper, all of Lockwood. She is also survived by her grandparents, Charlotte and William Scott, and John and Missy Cooper, all of Golden City; Mark and Marlene Beard of Lockwood; Kay Marchand of Branson; and Dick and Renee Marchand of Hot Springs, Arkansas; as well as a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and great grandparents.

Visitation for Hallie will be held on Friday, July 15h, 2022 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar from 5 to 7 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Lockwood High School Gymnasium at 2 p.m., followed by a private burial at Heaven’s Gate Cemetery in Golden City. A dinner in honor of Hallie’s life will be held at the Methodist Life Center in Lockwood at 6 p.m., following services, and is welcome to all who loved and miss Hallie.
