Evelyn Hankins

Evelyn Hankins, 97, of Everton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility. She was born December 24, 1923 in Minnesota. She married Donald Hankins on January 25, 1942.

She worked for 20 plus years as the Everton city clerk. She also worked in the Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, as a telephone operator and in several grocery stores. She also helped her husband in the garage. Evelyn was always a hard worker.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Celsa (Crissinger) Shoemaker and her husband, Donald .

She is survived by a son Jimmy (Leona) Hankins of Everton; a daughter Donna (Bobby) Medley of Springfield; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren and a brother, Otis Shoemaker of Rochester, New York.

Graveside services were on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, Missouri. Services are under the direction of Birch Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Missouri.
