Lockwood Tigers Shut Out Hume Hornets 10-0

In the second round of the Class 1 District 6 playoffs, the Lockwood Tigers shut out the Hume Hornets 10-0.
Dylan Snider threw a six-inning shutout to lead the Lockwood Tigers past Hume Hornets 10-0 on Monday.
Hume had advanced to the second round after beating Bronaugh 6-2 last Friday. Lockwood had a first round bye. Due to rain, the contest was held at Joplin High School’s all turf field.
The Lockwood Tigers started the scoring in the third inning. Jaime Kramer scored on a ball put in play by Dylan Snider, who reached on an error. The very next batter, Dylan Gallup, came up and scorched a ball over the center fielder’s head which went to the centerfield wall. Gallup was able to round all the bases for an inside-the-park home run making the score 3-0.
The Tigers weren’t done scoring. In the fourth inning, with Kramer on second, Dylan Gallup hit a line drive to left field that got passed the the fielder. Again Gallup touched all four bases and scored on the error.
Snider was the winning pitcher for the Lockwood Tigers . He threw a complete game, which was six innings, due to the 10-run rule. Snider allowed only three hits and zero runs while striking out seven and walking zero.
Brooks took the loss for Hume Hornets, going three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on two hits and striking out six.
