Decy Mildred Delk

Decy Mildred Delk, 98 of Everton, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd and Jane Wilson was born May 7, 1922. She passed away Sunday evening, March 21, 2021 in Ash Grove Health Care Center.

She was born close to Clever, Missouri. In her younger years, Mildred worked at the Dixie Dress Shop in Springfield, Missouri.

Mildred married Bobby Gene Delk, November 10, 1945. They lived in the Everton community their entire married life. Mildred was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Mildred enjoyed being outside working in the garden or in her flower beds. Mildred enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and embroidery. Mildred spent her life serving the Lord. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church for many years while she raised a family and lived on the farm.

After retiring and moving to town, she joined the Everton Baptist Church where she continued teaching children’s Sunday School classes and Bible School classes for many more years. Mildred was faithful to her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Mildred and Bobby were married for over 60 years when he preceded her in death, December 18, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Leaford Wilson.

Mildred is survived by her three sons: Benny and Tasha of Kansas City; Dennis of Greenfield; and Roger and Bonnie of Everton; three grandsons: Jeremy and Lori Delk and their family of Mt. Vernon, Corey, Morgan, and Henry, Jesse; Justin and Jennifer Delk of Everton; Zane and Raegan; Jared and Bonnie Delk of Clever.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, Missouri. Funeral services, under the care and direction of Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home of Ash Grove, Missouri, were 11 a.m Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, Everton, Missouri with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Liberty Cemetery in Mildred’s name and may be left at the funeral home.
