Ruth Imogene Johnson

Ruth Imogene Johnson, 87, of Bois D’Arc, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021, in her home with her husband by her side.

She was born November l7, 1933 to Henry and Dora (McGrew) Chilcutt.

Ruth married Harold Johnson May 22, 1953, sharing 67 wonderful years together.

She was a homemaker, played the organ at church, loved spending time with her family, camping, sewing and dancing with her granddaughter.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law: Charles Curry and Howard Williams; a great-granddaughter, Zoey; and an unborn baby brother.

Se is survived by her husband, Harold of the home; son, David Johnson and wife, Linda; two daughters: Pam Dillard and husband, Roy; and Phyllis Johnson and husband, Gary; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Barbara Wilson of Quincy, Illinois, and Bonnie Hoffman and husband, Al, of Springfield.

Services were held Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Johns Chapel Church with Rev. David Johnson and Rev. Jerry Nickel officiating. Burial followed in the Johns Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Birch Funeral Home Ash Grove.
