Daythel E. Anderson

Daythel E. Anderson, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in the Dade County Nursing Home at the age of 91 from complications of COVID-19.

She was born on May 7, 1929 in Greenfield, Missouri to Elgin and Pearl (Weeks) Clabough. Daythel graduated from Greenfield High School. She was united in marriage to James David Anderson on May 7, 1951 in Greenfield, Missouri.
Daythel worked many years as a bank teller in Greenfield and enjoyed her customers. She was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Elgin and Pearl Clabough; her husband, James Anderson; two brothers, Albert Clabough and Elwood Clabough; four sisters, Blanche Taylor, Paige Hargis, Daryl Stump, and Karen Smith; and one grandchild, Joshua Gray.

Survivors include her two daughters: Jodie Gray and her husband, Brian, of Valley Center, Kansas and Jan Zuniga and her husband, Louis, of Andover, Kansas; one brother, Lynn Clabough; three grandchildren, James Cagney, Ben Gray, and David Stowell and his wife Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Ilias Cagney, Khloe Gray, and Ellie Zuniga; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Daythel’s special friend, Elaine Higgins, for her special care and support throughout the years. Daythel considered Elaine as her own daughter.
