Online Brief: DCHD - No Confirmed COVID-19 Infections in Dade County (March 20, 2020)

March 20, 2020

Update: A negative result came back this afternoon on a COVID-19 test run on a Greenfield resident. There remain no confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection as of today.

As of Friday afternoon (March 20, 2020), there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection in Dade County, reports Pamela Allen, administrator of the Dade County Health Department.

Allen said that there are a number of individuals in the county who have self-quarantined out of an overabundance of caution, primarily after having traveled out of state.

"I would ask anybody in Dade County that has traveled outside of this area recently to consider self-quarantining themselves and their family just for the sake of everyone's safety," advised Allen.

In the event a case is confirmed in Dade County, the Health Department will issue further guidance at that time.
