William "Bill' Shirk
William Bruce “Bill” Shirk, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in the Dade County Nursing Home at the age of 92.
He was born on July 29, 1927 in Everton, Missouri, to Vint and Cordia Mae (Mallory) Shirk. Bill served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a farmer and herdsman.
Survivors include four children: Dennis Shirk and wife, Lois; Sandy Lowrance and husband, Elmer; Jim Shirk and Rose Holder; and Linda Shirk and Dale Boothe; two sisters, Carlie Cooper and Ruby Johnson; seven grandchildren: Jerold Shirk, Terry Shirk, Nathan Shirk, Carol Duncan, Robert Lowrance, Bayley Spain and husband Trevor, and Layken Shirk and fiancé Carson Gregg; seven great-grandchildren: Jessi Bailey, Izak Bailey, Eli Shirk, Lacy Shirk, Avery Shirk, Caleb Duncan, and Moriah Duncan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in Antioch Cemetery. Family and friends viewed at their convenience on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Greenfield Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ecuador Missions . Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com.
