Max Alvin Melton

Max Alvin Melton, of Walnut Grove, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the age of 73 with his bride of 55 years and children by his side at Cox Health Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions on travel and gatherings, memorial services will be held at a later date at the Walnut Grove First Christian Church.

The family invites and welcomes friends to come at their convenience to Connie Melton’s home, located at 506 N. Wall St. in Walnut Grove, for fellowship. Fern Irene Metzger

Fern Irene (Stump) Metzger, 94, died Sunday March 29, 2020 in Casa Grande, Arizona surrounded by her son, Mark and family. Metzger spent most of her life in Boulder, Colorado, for 57 years before moving to Casa Grande, Arizona, to be near her son, Mark, and his wife, Katie.

Fern was born at Greenfield, Missouri December 28, 1925 to George and Maggie (Brown) Stump. Proceeding her in death were four brothers: Howard (Eula) Stump, George Jr. (Veretta) Stump, Lee (Faye) Stump and Clifton (Daryl) Stump.

The family will have private services in Arizona.

Lori Renee Buehler

Lori Renee Buehler, age 49, of Verona, Missouri, died Monday, March 30, 2020, at the Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

A celebration of Buehler’s life will be held at the family home. Please contact the family for arrangements. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.

William J. ‘Bill’ Swartz

William H. “Bill” Swartz, formerly of Aurora, Missouri, died March 29, 2020 at the age of 83 in Springfield, Missouri.

In light of the concerns and restrictions placed on group gatherings due to COVID-19, the immediate family will hold a graveside service under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
A celebration of Bill’s life for friends and extended family will be held at a later date to be determined. The family appreciates all thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dr. Russell Denny White

Dr. Russell Denny White, age 72, of Aurora, Missouri, died Monday, March 30, 2020, at the Mt. Vernon (Mo.) Place Care Center.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri.

Those wishing to make a donation in Dr. White’s honor may contribute to the Alumni Scholarship, Craig R-III School, or to the Russell and Dara White Scholarship Endowment at the University of Missouri School of Medicine Scholarships, which emphasizes support of medical students from rural Missouri.
