J. Bob Oldham

J. Bob Oldham was born to Carl and Bertha (White) Oldham on September 17, 1927,and he was called to his Heavenly Father on February 16, 2020. Bob, of Stockton, Missouri, was 92 years old and the youngest of three children.

Bob married his sweetheart, Betty Lou Crutcher, on May 3, 1946. They shared 73 years of wedded bliss and to this union two children were born, Gary Lynn and Nancy Diane. He was a devoted husband, Dad and Papaw. He taught his children many skills on the farm but also found time to fish, camp and go swimming.

As a team, the Oldhams worked together on farms in Cedar and Dade counties. They enjoyed raising cattle and farming until they retired and moved into Greenfield, then later to Stockton, to be closer to their daughter.

Along with haying for his cattle, Bob operated a business hauling fertilizer and lime to his neighboring farmers.

Bob and Betty dearly loved their Lord and attended the Mt. Olive Christian Church at Neola. In their young marriage, they were baptized together at the Greenfield Christian Church.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Nancy Divine and Ron; grandchildren J Brock Divine and Amanda; Brandy Divine Yarnell and Bruce; Christina Oldham Jones and Dustin; Robert Oldham; and his niece Sue Ann Clevenger. Great-grandchildrren include Cole Johnson, Maddox McNamara, Cate and Avery Divine.

He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Betty; his son, Gary; his parents; and siblings Virginia Clevenger and Leon Oldham.

Dad will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. Bob was lovingly cared for and will be missed by his Lake Stockton Nursing Home family.
There are too many to name and the family thanks each and everyone of you. CMH doctors and hospice nurses were exceptional also.

Services under the care and direction of Bland-Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton: Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m., Saturday, February 29, at Stockton Christian Church, with services to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow services in Greenfield Cemetery.
