Mark Trask

Mark Trask, of Greenfield, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the age of 73.

He was born on September 8, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Harry and Mary (Moss) Trask. Mark graduated from Greenfield High School in 1968.

He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Doris Jean Hunter, on December 27, 1968. Mark proudly served his country in the United States Army as member of the C75th Rangers LRRP’s and a member of the Elite Special Forces Green Berets during the Vietnam War.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Mark also enjoyed trapping and playing a round of golf.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Harry and Mary Trask; his wife, Doris Trask; and one son, Joshua Trask.

Survivors include three sons: Jason Trask and his wife, Stephanie, of Greenfield, Missouri; Justin Trask and his wife, Kelly, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; and Joseph Trask and his wife, Donna, of Monett, Missouri; special friend and ex-wife, Cheryl Landers; one brother, Jim Trask; two sisters, Shauna Jacobs and Fonda Phillips; nine grandchildren: Chase, Elias, Seth, Payton, Sarah, Tobin, Ryleigh, Bethany, and Kade; two great-grandchildren, Emery and Brynleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Greenfield Cemetery. The family received friends on Friday at 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Greenfield Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
